Hi! My name is Roisin. Myself and my fiance have spent the last 3 years renovating our cottage from a shell to a place we love coming home to.
We bought the cottage in 2020 in the middle of pandemic, and between lockdowns, not be able to leave our county for months at a time, building material shortages, and tradespeople not answering their phones; we decided to take on the majority of the renovation ourselves!
Neither of us work in the trade, so it was a steep but rewarding learning curve! We watched a lot of Grand Designs (UK, Australia and New Zealand) and convinced ourselves that we could do it. I have been documenting our journey on our Instragram for the past 3 years but felt that now that we are (nearly) out the other side there might be people out there looking for some inspiration and motivation to do it themselves too!
Our Story
