Hi! My name is Roisin. My fiance and I have spent the last 5 years renovating our cottage from a shell to a home for our family; both 2 and four-legged
We bought the cottage in 2020 in the middle of the pandemic, and between lockdowns, not being able to leave our county for months at a time, building material shortages, and tradespeople not answering their phones, we decided to take on the majority of the renovation ourselves!
Neither of us work in the trade, so it was a steep but rewarding learning curve! We watched a lot of Grand Designs (UK, Australia and New Zealand) and convinced ourselves that we could do it. I have been documenting our journey on our Instagram for the past 5 years, but felt that now that we are out the other side, there might be people out there looking for some inspiration and motivation to do it themselves too!
Our Story
